We are done with the 2nd phase of the adoption process including the payment! We've now started with Phase 3, the "Home Study." We have been assigned a social worker who will meet with us individually and together as well as visit our house several times. If there's ever a time to feel pressure to get the house 'ready.' now is it. Really, we'll probably just vacuum and clean the toilet... There is, of course, loads more paperwork and lots of difficult decisions to make. Do we say no to meth babies and limit our options? Do we say we were spanked as kids and approve of that type of discipline? What's the level of openness we're comfortable with? We need to raise $5,204 in order to continue in the home study phase. This payment is due at the beginning of the home study but our social worker is willing to work with us as we continue fundraising. Yay! Any fall projects you'd like to hire us for? Cheers! |

Say you won't spank ;) social workers don't like hearing about ANY type of corporal punishment!
